Redundancy
The Study
The company in question were making redundancies, however they had started to make a few mistakes within their processes and had introduced a matrix which made the process quite complicated.
Having previously supported a larger organisation where around 70 people were made redundant, Elston HR already had experience of successfully managing large-scale redundancies, with no appeals. When Elston HR picked up the process with the company in question, they felt very confident in supporting them through their redundancy processes.
What We Did To Change It
We helped the situation by supporting the business with the organization of the redundancy meetings, ensuring the smooth running of those meetings and helping to effectively and respectfully advertise the new roles that became available within the process. In the end, the company only made around 7 redundancies in total, but had planned to make a lot more.
